Day 35 – 37: Englefontaine, France – next stop Mons, Belgium

Sorry for the radio silence over the last few days. The mobile reception has been terrible and the wifi non-existent.

I ran through Englefontaine today. Where did you run today?

I’ve covered almost 22 miles since I last blogged – so this year I have reached 276.4 miles.

A really small and pretty town with a lovely square with the church and town hall.

So, I’m quite close to the French-Belgian border and the town of Mons. I’m excited about crossing the “border”. I love France, but Belgium is awesome. Belgian Beers are what I live for. It is one of the top reasons why I run. Why do you run?

A few of you have asked me what shoes I am running in. As the regulars will know, I bought 6 pairs of Nike Flex TR2. I ran in them for a few days to make sure I was happy, and then reverted to my old More Mile Oslo shoes – because there is still a few miles left in them. Once they have died – I will switch 100% to the Nike. Also, I found that switching straight away is a recipe for disaster. What is your experience in switching between shoes?

Tomorrow is a day off for me. Then I will carry on with my journey towards Mons. I am thinking of going through Brussels too. I love Brussels. Perfect beer, perfect food, gorgeous city. Have you been to Brussels?

I am loving my Pebble watch – I am running it with Strava. It is much better than Runkeeper. I am sold. Wholesale! What do you use for tracking your runs?

I have also ordered an action cam. I am hoping to have it in the next few days and I’ll be able to post some videos. Exciting huh!!?!
