We are all really excited about our 200+ mile run which starts on Friday 1 April in Hythe and finishes on 4 April in Bournemouth.
The final bits of packing have been going on. We have been deciding on what pizza to eat tonight and more importantly which beer and wine to carb-up with.
It was lovely to chat to some of the other runners at my London club Serpentine last night, even people who I hadn’t talked to before (huge club!) came over and gave me their best wishes and good luck for the weekend. That’s one o the amazing things about running clubs. People are so supportive. I m also proud to be a member of Maidston Harriers and Egerton Running clubs.
So, today there will be no running happening! Not even to cross the road to make sure that we get to tomorrow morning injury free. I do worry anout injuries gained through simply walking. I am pretty uncoordinated so I do run this risk.
I am looking forward to hearing the interview I did with KMFM on the radio and hope we get some friends and supporters using #runthecoast on twitter @donealready @michaelikes2run and @paulcommons1966.
we are so excited about meeting other runners along the way too.
Thanks so much everyone for your kind support and donations. We are doing this for an amazing charity which receives no taxpayer funding – RNLI – and they save peoples lives all along the coast. http://www.justgiving.com/hythetoIOW and of course you can follow our progress by checking out http://www.racedrone.net/event/run-the-coast-200 tosee where we are and perhaps even turn up with some cake. We love cake!!!!
